The cheaper gray or green painted residential tire swivels are adequate only for occasional use by one child at a time. But, this Tire Swivel is the real deal!

Hidden inside the rubber boot is a stout universal joint. Similar to what would be used on an auto drive shaft.

The three looped head, where the three chains attach, also spins around. It is designed for Omni direction swinging and spinning in circles at the same time. To further cement the heavy duty nature of this swivel, a customer's 13 year old daughter had a Lyra Hoop.

The girl was rough on the mounting hardware for the Lyra Hoop. First she destroyed an eye lag, then a residential tire swivel was eaten up from the friction of use in only 2-3 months.

Finally, this Swing Set Stuff swivel was the only mounting hardware that was tough enough to withstand the stresses the teenager put on it. Hole to hole 4 1/2. Top Plate 3" x 6". Recommend using 3/8 diameter bolts or lag screws for mounting hardware.
